Jamileh Salek Ostadtaqi is an Iranian-Canadian artist currently based
in Toronto. Jamileh holds the Bachelor of Fine Art degree from  Alzahra Tehran
University, and Master of Fine Art degree from Tarbiat Modarres
University in Iran. Jamileh’s work spans over three decades, and has
been featured in over 45 solo and group exhibitions in Iran, where she
also taught art at University level. Jamileh’s most influential
lectures include Post-modernism and Feminism in Arts at the Annual
Painting Exhibition of Isfahan, Iran, in 2003 and Pluralism in the
Post-modern Arts at Soureh University of Shiraz, Iran in 2012. In
2014, Jamileh was selected to participate in the group exhibition and
workshops during the Symposium International De Peinture Et Sculpture
Du-Saguenay Lac-Saint-Jean in Quebec .She introduced her work to
Toronto audiences recently at the John B. Aird Gallery group
exhibition : “Toronto : The Views Are Different here”. She recently
had a solo show in 57th Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. Jamileh has
succeeded in earning the Toronto Arts Council grant 2018.

Currently,Jamileh splits her time between creating new series of paintings anddoing independent illustration work.

My very recent art activity is related to the  illustrations for the Malik Mamad’s book which it has not been finished yet, and also some greeting cards.
